Its a simple site, but very quick to load and navigate. For your inquiry you're going to have to go to the groups of locomotives known to have had the logo (eg: 9500 series AC4400CW) and click on each locomotive link. The lead image for each unit is typically the closest to its build date, and will likely show the decal. The notes section on the same page will also notate the presence of the RCMP decal. If my memory serves me correctly, most of the 9500 series, including a few of the later order (9583-9599) received the decal, plus a handful of the early 9600 series. GP9u's 8201, 8204, 8222, and 8223 got the decal while they were being repainted also. The listing at the website arbitrarily includes 9583-9599 with the first order, separate from 9600-9683, but they were part of the second order. Paint jobs and other cosmetics aside, the signifcant difference is that the second order represented CP's first use of self-steering trucks, whereas the first order had GE's high-adhesion trucks. There are certainly some in the first order that did not get the Mounted Police decal, 9520 being one example. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/29/24 20:57 by railsmith.
