Montreal Skyline
Author: cn6218

I was in the Montreal area on April 8, and spent some time on the footbridge over Southwark Yard, just east of St. Lambert.  Along with the morning commuter trains, I caught this unidentified freight, which came east from Montreal and then proceeded to set off some cars on the south side of the main lines.  I assumed it was a transfer, but the DPU behind the cars being set out seems to imply it was a road train, although a rather short one.  It was just before 08:00 and EXO train 807 had just gone under me and towards Montreal.

Well-crafted view - Instead of the oft-seen mountains out west, skyscrapers made the Montreal scene on the horizon.

A couple people e-mailed me to say that this train is 322, Toronto to Southwark, with blocks of cars for Quebec City, the St. Lawrence & Atlantic and Boucherville.  They are likely making the SLR setoff in the picture above.
