Canadian Railroads > New Restaurant in Birch CoveDate: 10/26/24 09:03 New Restaurant in Birch Cove Author: cn6218 The restaurant at Birch Cove has figured prominently in my train pictures taken there for 25 years or so. It started off as Chinatown Restaurant, and as the pandemic started it began a new life as the Birch & Anchor, specializing in barbecue. But this spring the locks went on the gate (literally, the underpass under the tracks) and the location has been idle until the past few weeks. They don't seem to be open just yet, so I don't have a report on the food, but the trains continue to roll by. On October 17th, Z120 was circling the cove on the Transfer Track, approaching the entrance to Pace Yard in Halifax.
