Canadian Railroads > Late Light on NB SouthernDate: 11/02/24 10:30 Late Light on NB Southern Author: cn6218 NB Southern train 121 normally departs Saint John around 3 in the afternoon (local time, the railway runs on Eastern time), allowing for a well lit chase all the way to McAdam. But on October 3, it was well after 5 before they finally exited the west cautionary limits of Saint John and were on their way west. Although the light was favourable, it finally ran out at Tracy, about an hour and a half away from McAdam. SD70M-2s 6404, 6416 and 6411 were leaning into the curve next to NB Rt. 101 at 6:30 with a couple dozen loaded Herzog ballast hoppers on the head end for on-going track work
