That is interesting that the sleeping car is a VIA Chateau sleeper.  Normally the sleeper was an ex-CN "E" series car.  Of course, they are similar - the difference being the Chateau having a drawing room and three double bedrooms and the E sleeper has four double bedrooms.

Nice picture! Just so sad to see what got "cut" and "slashed" in Canadian passenger rail. Still amazes me that ONR and the southern route of the original Canadian got axed and never could get a come back - even if a regional train. We all know the reasons why and the hurdles to overcome. Hope for the ONR.

It seems that any passenger train that paralleled an intercity bus route got the axe. Now with Greyhound gone, replaced with a fragemented mess of partial replacements, too bad.
