Canadian Railroads > New Paint, New(ish) PowerDate: 12/28/24 23:44 New Paint, New(ish) Power Author: BoostedFridge The first few locomotives of CPKC's most recent power purchase have been making their way around the western part of the railway this month. CP 7431, 7433, and 7435 have all been west of the Rockies in December, with 7433 making several rounds trips to the west coast. These units are part of an eight unit acquisition from Wabtec of ET44AC models, built in 2014 as GE field test units of the then new type. These units were leased to the Baffinland Railroad, and modified for Arctic operations, though never turned a wheel for that proposed railway. Wabtec removed the arctic mods, and painted the units in Albia, IA before turning the units over to CPKC.
Below CP 7433 leads train 112-15 at the former control point of Port Hammond on CPKC's Cascade Subdivision on December 15th. Date: 12/29/24 00:35 Re: New Paint, New(ish) Power Author: SquareWheeledCaboose Absolutely stunning lighting!
