Business car Lynnewood sure looked rough in 2019! I was fortunate to have spent several days aboard that car on the QNS&L from Sept-Iles, QC to Labrador City, NL back in March 1981 while on a fact finding mission for a CN project I was working on. Years later in November 2005 I photographed the car on static display at the VIA Rail station in Amqui, QC while on another railway related business trip. I'll have to dig further into my photo files but I didn't shoot a lot of rolling stock when I was working with these railroads (unless it was MoW Work Equipment) Here's a pic I took on October 27, 2005 in Sept-Iles, QC of a QNS&L passenger dome car. I am happy to learn that the dome car may be still intact. I have searched the QNS&L web site, in the past, for a clue to its status but came away frustrated, so this is good to see, even it it is 2022. |
