Canadian Railroads > Welcome to Cape BretonDate: 01/24/25 06:48 Welcome to Cape Breton Author: cn6218 RaiLink GP9-4 4003 was leading CBNS train 702 across the Canso Causeway and onto Cape Breton Island with cars delivered to Harvre Boucher by train 306 from Stellarton. With somewhat limited space to store cars on the Cape Breton side of the causeway, the yard in Harvre Boucher was used to keep a supply of empty cars for the gas fractionation plant in Pt. Tupper. Turning 306 at the division point also meant the same crew could get back to Stellarton before their time ran out. 702 would switch the industries in Pt. Tupper and make the transfer to Harvre Boucher.
