Canadian Railroads > Winter Finally ArrivesDate: 02/03/25 22:16 Winter Finally Arrives Author: BoostedFridge Vancouver, BC and the surrounding Fraser Valley have had an exceptionally mild winter. January featured several mostly clear, and cold weeks, and what little precipitation fell in frozen form stuck only to the surrounding mountaintops. This changed over the weekend, with Vancouver getting its first proper dump of snow. Many local railfans flocked trackside to capture trains in the previously absent element of the season. Here CN loaded coal symbol C731-52-02, lead by CP 8019 speeds west through the 'S' curves east of Hydro, on CN's Yale Subdivision.

Fred Date: 02/04/25 16:18 Re: Winter Finally Arrives Author: TCnR Nice work, classic photography.
Washington and Oregon are seeing the Fraser River outflow and other geographic caused air flows, but there's more than one storm system out there. Not quite time for icebergs but there's some fierce temperature and winds out there. t4p. Date: 02/05/25 07:43 Re: Winter Finally Arrives Author: BoostedFridge Thank you Fred! I appreciate that.
