Canadian Railroads > VIA Rail LD equipment design

Just now reading the March TRAINS magazine that had a write-up about VIA rail wanting to order new equipment for the LD trains.   The article focused on car types and the fact that dome cars are being requested.  I thought it mentioned a 300 car order, but I cannot find that quote in the article.  Perhaps I saw that elsewhere?
Anyway, I was wondering if there is a consideration of increasing the train frequencies of these trains as it was my understanding that the shortage of equipment was a big factor in severely limiting how many days the trains run.  

They assume status quo with train operations. Expansion is not on their radar screen, except for maybe restoring Gaspe.

I suupose about when the Vermonter gets to Monteral - the day after never.

Well they're going to have an election in about five weeks so maybe something will change,    or not...
