European Railroad Discussion > Train in Montenegro

I don't recall seeing anything on TO from Montenegro so here goes. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to ride any trains on a recent vacation to the Montenegro coast. But did see several trains in route from Bar on the coast to the Podgorica airport. The Belgrade-Bar Railway was completed in 1959 and is quite scenic. We spotted this train passing or dining location at Virpazar. These self propelled units were paid for with European Union funds. We also observed some much older equipment but only from the back of our taxi so no photos were possible.

Credit my girl friend. She spotted it while we were having dinner. So not through the glass. We did see several other sets, both old and new go by while riding on the adjacent road. But the tracks were on the wrong side!
