sunrise over eastern Germany
Author: boiler77

Hello Friends,
find a wonderful sunrise near the East End of the S 5 - line from the Berlin-S-Bahn system. It is Strausberg Nord at 4:45 a.m. in the morning.
This is the area, where the former department of defense of the GDR a residet before the wall was fallen down. Photographs was not allowed there.
Now we found a little barrack there and the platform is empty is this early hour.

Phil - from Berlin, Germany

Very nice set of photos Phil, thanks for sharing.  My wife and I have been wanting to return to Germany and travel around the country since we left there in 1992.

Excellent photos Phil. I always enjoy photos of German rail. I sure enjoyed my visit there in 2002. I guess 10 days there wasn't enough.

Thanks for the voting of my pics.Like show one from the southern turning point of our line S 25.
My own train sit behind the stairs while the next 4-car-MU class 481 is arriving the final destination.
The maximum lenghts is an 8-car-train.
