Italo appears to offer a 40% senior discount.  However, when I select a train, class, and flex level, I do not see the fare being discounted. 

Any info on this?

I have found that some countries do not display all discount fares to web clients that originate ourside their country. New Zealand is once such example, and the host of www.seat61.com describes a browser extension workaround for viewing New Zealand rail discounts. Might be worth trying for Italo.
