We got a rental car to drive from Riga to Kaunas, Lithuania, so we could explore the area our family came from, which was the area around Baisogala, Lithuania.  The next day, we took the train from Kaunas to Vilnius.  Both Kaunas and Vilnius have trolleybus systems, largely consisting of Skoda trolleybuses, but with some Solaris trolleybuses also. 

1.  Southbound Lithuanian Railways (Lietuvos Geležinkeliai - or LG) freight near Joniskis with Siemens ER20CF locomotive. 
2.  LG Pesa 620M DMU approaching Radviliskis.
3.  Your correspondent at the LG station in Baisogala.   This is the village where my Grandmother's family came from.

12.  Narrow gauge yard in Panevezys for the Aukštaitijos Siaurasis Geležinkelis (ASG), which is a preserved 750mm gauge railway.  On the way into town, we caught sight of a train leaving with a diesel locomotive and 4-5 coaches.  At the yard, however, there was no activity, no staff, and no information about when the service operated.
