European Railroad Discussion > Barcelona's Blue TramDate: 04/19/17 23:41 Barcelona's Blue Tram Author: wpamtk I also took a ride on the Blue Tram ("Tramvia Blau" in Catalan), which runs 0.8 mile up Av. Tibidabo on the outskirts of Barcelona. The lower terminal connects with the L7 subway from downtown, and the upper end meets the funicular that climbs to the top of Mt. Tibidabo. The day I visited, cars 5 and 7 were in use, both built in 1904. The roster includes seven cars, but the others were all locked up in the carbarn. The route is very scenic and climbs a steep grade.
1. Car 5 at the lower end of the line. 2. Interior of car 7. 3. Car 5 at the upper terminal. The funicular station is just to the right. Date: 04/26/17 20:51 Re: Barcelona's Blue Tram Author: Margaret_SP_fan Oooooh..... that is a pretty car! And such a
