European Railroad Discussion > Portugal Train TripDate: 07/04/17 15:17 Portugal Train Trip Author: atsffan On 5/26, I posted a short summary of my Portugal trip: https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?17,4303071. Here's a set of photos taken along the way.
All taken with a Fuji X100T digital, fixed 23mm lens rangefinder camera. No post-processing. #1 - One of Lisbon's ubiquitous trolleys. #2 - Leaving from Lisbon's Oriente station to head south to Lagos. Beautiful platforms. #3 - Changing trains in Tunes, (pronounced "Tunes", not "Tune Es") to head to Lagos. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/04/17 15:52 by atsffan. Date: 07/04/17 15:25 Re: Portugal Train Trip Author: atsffan #4 - The original Lagos station. Which was replaced with . . .
#5 - The current Lagos station. #6 - Our IC train back to Tunes, where we transferred onto a Regional to Lisbon. Date: 07/04/17 15:41 Re: Portugal Train Trip Author: atsffan At Lisbon we transferred to an almost new Alfa Pendulum trainset to head north to Porto. Wonderful ride, and as I mentioned before, great service with hot meals served at your seat.
#7 - Our Tunes - Lisbon train. #8 - The Alfa Pendulum train in Porto. #9 - The Sao Bento station in central Porto. Date: 07/04/17 15:49 Re: Portugal Train Trip Author: atsffan And a few non-railroad photos of Portugal
#10 - Lisbon, looking out towards the Tagus River. #11 - The Algarve on the Atlantic Ocean #12 - Porto on the right with Vila Nova de Gaia (where all the port companies are located) on the left. Date: 07/05/17 09:31 Re: Portugal Train Trip Author: symph1 Thank you. Beautiful photos.
