I read where Carillon is a major player in the HS2 project, what are the Brits saying
as to how this affects the overall scheme? Can the other partners take up the slack?

The government is claiming that the contracts are structured in such a way that the various partners to the contract will pick up the slack left by Carillion. All the HS2 contracts "awarded to Carillion" are in fact contracts awarded to a partnership of companies of which Carillion is just one.

That's what we're being told!
