Does the red disc/white stripe act like a marker lamp?

"Green Care" = "Brush Removal"?

Looks like the engine is in the original paint scheme when delivered in the late twenties. I believe the disk marks the forward side of the switcher, similar to the "F" that on US engines. Later, the top headlight was used with a white "V" (vorne=front) on blue background to mark the forward side. These switchers were produced over an over 40 year period, the latest in 1966.
