had a short meeting in Berlin with urban transit fan Jim from Cincinatti, OH. It was nice to meet You Jim.
Hope, you had a great day in Brandenburg and Cottbus. Look forward to your pics.

# 1 - Jim in the more than 100yrs old subway station Klosterstraße. It is illustrated with pics of the Berlin transit history.
# 2 - Hi leveled station Eberswalder Str with northbound train for Pankow. It`s one of the old GDR - m.u. trainsets type "G". we had used this from Klosterstr.
# 3 - Flexity Tram car on line M 10. These cars had replaced most of the Tatra cars.

Hello Phil and all...

This trip as a whole ended up bineg one of the best trips I've done. Even though I went by myself I was often not alone and got to hang out with many people in many of the places I went to. It was an enjoyable evening with Phil getting a look at the extensive mass transit network in Berlin.

Here are a few of mine from that night.
1) A woman looking at her Handy (Cell Phone) as theU Bahn we rode takes off.
2) Trams near the Nordbahnhof stop.
3) Saying good-bye to Phil on the S Bahn at the Ostbahnhof.

I ended really immersing myself in the former DDR in the couple days in former East Germany. I came to ride Tatras and ended up having a great time and great experience.

Same as at home, not being a native Cincinnatian I do no desire to eat White Castles...
