Took EC train 275 Brno to Budapest on Tuesday 7/9. Arrived Budapest over fours late as trains were coupled together and rerouted through Hungary vice using normal routing through Slovakia. Does anyone know what happened to cause the changes?

Not sure, but it got my rail jet from Vienna to Zurich on Wednesday delayed by an hour. The same delays have been going on for a while actually on trains through/from Hungary.

My wife and I have tickets overnight from Krakow to Budapest Sunday evening July 21. I am not familiar with European routes, although I believe we go via Vienna.

Any updates would be appreciated.  We will be in Budapest four days ahead of our river cruise anyway, so any four hour delay will be no problem.

It took almost 3 hours (last evening) for the last 50 miles to Krakow, from Vienna, construction, freights, & single slow order track.
