I've been sorting and scanning slides and 35mm negatives from my time working in Poland in 1993-4 and a trip back in 1995.  The situation at that time was that PKP had officially ended regular steam operation in 1992, but every Region maintained a small operational fleet for excursion purposes (and in some cases for building heat in winter) and so drivers could maintain steam qualifications.  Wolsztyn was the exception and had several passenger turns to Poznan daily as well as a handful of freight assignments to various points.  I'm going to post photos sort of at random and will do so periodically until someone says, "enough is enough!".

Post all the Polish stuff you want. I managed to get a cab ride on a 4-6-2 from Leszno to Wolsztn in 2005, great experience.  What is  the story with the smokestack on the Tr12 95? Operating in a fire danger area?

I assume so but don't know for a fact.  I've only seen photos of a couple other Tr12's and they had the same stack arrangement.  Certainly there is significant timber production in this part of southern Poland, so it would make sense.
