European Railroad Discussion > Mr. Brown at the LNERDate: 05/13/21 18:21 Mr. Brown at the LNER Author: gbmott Apparently A. E. Brown didn't spend much time around the LNER, and what photos he took were mostly static roster-type shots, but here are a few from there.
1. BR 60880 Green Arrow - Kings X 4-3-56 (Mr. Brown again manages to shoot a loco that will wind up preserved) 2. BR 60003 Andrew K. McCosh - Kings X 4-3-56 3. BR 62017 - March 5-5-60 Gordon Date: 05/13/21 23:29 Re: Mr. Brown at the LNER Author: 86235 Another "wow" from me.

Tom Date: 05/14/21 16:33 Re: Mr. Brown at the LNER Author: kurtarmbruster I get a kick out of how some latter-day LNER power subtly mirrored the Stirling singles of the 1880s in line, detail, and simplicity. Thanks for these always-delightful views!

Yes, and utilizing the same Gresley-designed linkage to the middle cylinder as used on some UP 4-12-2's among others in the US. (Someone correct me if I have misspoken) Gordon Date: 06/01/21 17:30 Re: Mr. Brown at the LNER Author: railroadbill Good Catch!
