Very nice shots, I like 2 and 3 in particular. No. 3 looks like a 'roarer'/class 85.

Which is interesting. I wonder if it replaced a failed 87 given the train is Mk3 stock (110mph) but the loco is only 100mph and much less powerful (3,200hp vs 5,000hp).

Good point, you may well be right there... I'm no passenger train expert but I assume if it was a passenger train actually booked for an 85/81 it wouldn't have been mk 3 stock.
