Look up BLS AG on Wikipedia. It's a Swiss rail company.

Your photo was taken at Spiez, the intersection of the Interlaken-Zweisimmen and Bern-Brig-Domodossola lines.

I think you may have been confused by the symbol, which is just that, not a fancy abbreviation.
