Following on from yesterdays post about our return trip to Entrncamento here are some images from the NRM.

CP 262 built 1899 by C.ie de Fives - Lille in france they lasted right to the end of steam in 1970
CP003 built by Societe John Cockerill Seraing, Belgium in 1890 and retired in 1931

The Poturuese famous for their tiles, 64 piece of the sheild of Camhinos De Ferro Do Estado from the closed Unros station.

The Royal train was their pride and joy, The locomotive built in 1862 by Beyer Peackock & Co, Manchester, was eventually used in Suburban service till retirement in 1923, The Prince's Saloon built in 1877 by Ibbotson Brothers & Co, Sheffield served until 1910 when it was put in storage. The D.Maria Pia Saloon was built by Compagnie Generale de Materiels de Chemins de Fer in belgium in 1858.
Motor trolley and 2 pedal trolleys all built  by Draisinenbau, Hamburg Germany.
D.1.10 built by E Campagnie & Cie paris in 1927 and D1.1.5 built by the Porturuese workshops in 1940

1948 built Alco, 1501 is the sole survior of 12 locomotives.
1951 Whitcomb, 1311 was one of 12 locomotives.
1961 Sorefame built under licence from Brissonneau & Lotz, France.

Unfortunately time was running short [so could not explore properly] as you have to travel on booked trains in Portugal, my very tolerant wife wanted a coffee before catching the return train and I got the "once you have seen one coach / train you have seen them all comment" I got my own back later when dragged through the shops with "once you have seen one handbag you have seen them all".
Line up of 3 cars
These coaches were built for the fast Lisbon - Porto services, the first 6 were built in Philly in 1941, the remaining 22 under licence by Sorefame,
3 car EMU built by Sorefame under licence from Budd, for use in Lisbon Suburban service mainly the Sintra and North lines and retired in 2000. The rest of the unit was behind more stock awaiting restoration.

Locomotive CP 2551 built by Sorefame and group of partners involved in the electrification of the Sintra and North lines in Lisbon, built 1963 with technical assistance from Budd and reportedly the first  locomotives in the world with a stainless steel body.
A 1966 Sentinel with a Rolls Royce engine, 36 were built under licence by Sorefame. Behind it is the 3 car EMU mentioned earlier and CP 2501 an electric loco built again for the Sintra North line electrification.
CP 1805 Built by English Electric on a simplified designed of UK class 50 in 1968

A Swiss built coach in1949 by Schindler Wagons S.A. for suburban use in Lisbon.
Built by Jos Booth & Bros, Leeds UK in 1924, 35 tonnes crane originally steam and converted to diesel.
Built in Germany these cars were modified for Automobile or log transport.

11 GE built with Caterpillar engines in 1949 and served till the late 90's in a variety of duties.
N.V Allen [Rotterdam] built in 1954, 25 units. 4 have been rebuilt and remain in service.

I could easily have spent a couple of days there, just trying to figure in an excuse to go back.
