European Railroad Discussion > Hungary Part 6 — murals at Nyiregyhaza stationDate: 11/26/22 17:46 Hungary Part 6 — murals at Nyiregyhaza station Author: gobbl3gook I spent the night in Nyiregyhaza, about 100 km shy of the Ukrainian border.
In the morning I was impressed with the murals in the tunnel that accessed the different platforms. cute, pretty, attractive, a little whimsical. They soften the otherwise hard, stark feeling of being in a station tunnel. Some were streetscape with elephants and giraffes. Nice pairings, I thought...
Observations, Questions? October 2019 Date: 11/26/22 21:20 Re: Hungary Part 6 — murals at Nyiregyhaza station Author: norm1153 I wonder who painted them. Was thinking maybe they asked for volunteers, or maybe a school? There is a consistency in the colors and of course the style, so who knows?
Thanks for posting! Date: 11/27/22 17:12 Re: Hungary Part 6 — murals at Nyiregyhaza station Author: Lackawanna484 The murals look like a whimsical way to brighten up what would otherwise be a stark tunnel
