Winter Solstice
Author: 86235

Today is the shortest day in the Northern Hemisphere as the sun sits over the Tropic of Capricorn. It was a lovely day over much of the UK, light winds, plenty of sunshine and temperatures a little above average. I went for a day out on the West Coast Mainline around Rugeley and Stafford, travelling by train from Abergavenny by way of Crewe.

1: I left home pretty early, driving to Abergavenny. I was the sole passenger on the station this morning.
2: At Crewe this 66 was running round a loaded stone train prior to leaving for a stone terminal around Birmingham.
3: A London bound Pendolino of Avanti West Coast and a class 175 of Transport for Wales.

A short compilation of Pendolinos and Deutsche Bahn Cargo's 4M25 Mossend (Scotland) to Daventry.
