Met a couple fans trackside while in England and chatted a bit, well enough to learn that DVTs (Driving Van Trailers) seem to be called derisive names such as "those things." I saw a couple in London and then one more in Peterborough, here on a LNER train from Leeds to Lodon, with a Class 91 Electra on the rear (looked an awful lot like the DVT to be honest, but I liked both ends of this consist).
