1. An Irish Rail 4-DMU train is about to depart Killarney 10/7/23. 2. The Gleensk Viaduct was built in 1892 and service over it ended in 1960, pictured 10/8/23. That steam locomotive plinthed on Cork Kent Station is no.36 of 1847 built by Edward Bury of Liverpool.

I took a one day excursion out of Dublin to the south, the return trip was by bus and stopped at several interesting sites. Their brochere offered a wide variety of tours around Ireland using regular schedules but with their guides, I hope to be back some day. |
