A Tour Around Ireland
Author: GPutz

We took a tour around the Emerald Isle, and I found time to see some current railway operations and historical railway sites.
1. An Irish Rail 4-DMU train is about to depart Killarney 10/7/23.
2. The Gleensk Viaduct was built in 1892 and service over it ended in 1960, pictured 10/8/23.

Nice set, thanks. That steam locomotive plinthed on Cork Kent Station is no.36 of 1847 built by Edward Bury of Liverpool.

There used to be a company Irish Rail Tours which we discovered during a Princess Cruise around the British Isles.
I took a one day excursion out of Dublin to the south, the return trip was by bus and stopped at several interesting sites.
Their brochere offered a wide variety of tours around Ireland using regular schedules but with their guides, I hope to be back some day.
