That's a wrap! For SC Bern
Author: railsmith

During a visit to Switzerland earlier this autumn, I encountered this bold use of a vinyl graphic wrap on a BLS railway bilevel multiple unit. It promotes the SC Bern hockey team in the top-tier Swiss National League, which regularly has the top attendance in all of Europe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SC_Bern

RABe 515 008 is seen at Biel/Bienne on September 28, awaiting departure on an S3 service to Belp via Bern. That bear looks hungry.

Thanks for the pictures. That's a pretty ferocious lead unit as well

This is quite tasteful as adverts go--but trains should not be used as advertising billboards. It's demeaning to crew, passengers, and equipment. No. Nein. Nyet. Non!

How exactly is it demeaning?

In the 19th Century refrigerator cars owned by meat packers were glorious billboards.

They still are on the Rhätische Bahn in Switzerland. Reefers and sliding wall vans(boxcars).

So every city bus with a wrap in the US is insulting to the driver?  And those subway cars with ads on the interior surfaces?

Please. Advertising is the price we all pay for a whole bunch of services we all use.
