European Railroad Discussion > Caravans to Glyn EbwyDate: 03/07/24 00:31 Caravans to Glyn Ebwy Author: 86235 This could be the title of an Eric Ambler 1940s spy novel, set somewhere in the Balkans. But on Tuesday it just referred to single unit class 153s - known colloquially as caravans - on the Ebbw Vale (Glyn Ebwy in Welsh) branch in South Wales.
A trio of 153s arriving at Ebbw Vale Town on the 2N03 from Cardiff at just after 08:00. It turns around and returns to Cardiff almost immediately at 08:08 Later in the morning a single 153 passing Aberbeeg on the 2N59 from Newport to Ebbw Vale Town. At lunchtime another 153 approaching Park Junction in Newport on the 2N65 Newport to Ebbw Vale Town. Date: 03/07/24 06:25 Re: Caravans to Glyn Ebwy Author: dwatry Nick - cool shots. The fog creeping in in #1 supports the spy movie theme.

Thanks for posting your photo series. ALLEN Date: 03/08/24 14:52 Re: Caravans to Glyn Ebwy Author: 86235 krm152 Wrote:
