WCRC has not fitted central door locking to their fleet of Mk1 stock. They applied for an exemption, which was refused. They are appealing, but in the mean time the service will remain suspended.

I have little sympathy for WCRC. They have had ample time to fit out the coaches as required, or put in place a program for the work to take place. Other operators such as Locomotive Services Ltd seem to have managed.

The Jacobite is to recommence from Monday, but with Mk2 a/c stock rather than the Mk1s.
