Le Havre, France freight operations
Author: Roadbed

I had the opportunity to venture from the Le Havre cruise terminal to Honfleur on a tour bus.  Along the way I observed quite a bit of freight rail infrastructure, but none of it gave the appearance of much use, especially of the heavy haul type.  The retirement of a coal fired power plant doesn't help, I'm sure.  But, according to our guide, this is the largest container port in France.  As such I'd expect to see container trains, but didn't.   All that said, any insight on the freight activity in Le Havre?  Apologies for the poor photo.

This should give you an idea of traffic types & frequency. It's a bit old, 2021 but I doubt much has changed.

That is helpful.  Glad freight is still moving.  Thanks!
