My only Italian diesel train on my two week trip

Despite three days of trying to get one in sun, this was the only decent image I managed of a D445 diesel in Florence. Here a D445 locomotive departs Firenze with a regional train bound for Borgo, approximately 60 kilometers away through the heart of Tuscany. The D445, originally built in the 1970s, is known for its robust design and ability to handle Italy's diverse terrain, making it perfect for routes where electrification ends and the rolling countryside begins.
