It was an Alco Century, when major repairs to the former SP&S fleet were done at Livingston, and I suppose this was a break in run before being returned to Vancouver, Wash.
I also got a cab ride in a Milwaukee Little Joe around the yards in Harlowton. Those Montana folks were friendly! On the same vacation the crew had me lining switches for an ex-NP RS3 still in NP colors at Wishram, Wash. It's no wonder I became a conductor and switchman for BN. Thanks guys! BSB |
