Railroaders' Nostalgia > Everyone’s Favorite ConductorDate: 01/24/16 06:07 Everyone’s Favorite Conductor Author: HardYellow Here's everyone's favorite SP Los Angeles Division conductor, "The Rooster" Freddy Gardenhire...too many stories to write about.
Date: 01/25/16 12:02 Re: Everyone’s Favorite Conductor Author: crackerjackhoghead It's awfully quiet in here. I made a few trips to Yuma with Freddie, although I can't say I know him very well.

Well.....let's just say, you definitely didn't want to follow Freddy on the board, especially out of Yuma. We were making a trip from West Colton to Bakersfield in a "made-up-crew." The paper had an atricle about a train de-railment. On his final trip from Long Beach back to West Colton they deadheaded his son, Dane, down to Long Beach to be his engineer.
I only worked with "fast" Freddy a few times, he was a real character. As someone mentioned above, you didn't want to be around him on the board because somehow you would get screwed over.-BMT Date: 01/26/16 15:26 Re: Everyone’s Favorite Conductor Author: HardYellow UPNW2-1083 Wrote:
