There is only one alternative to your being 82 Years Old; don't think you would like that. ALLEN Date: 05/31/18 20:37 Re: Young punk Author: rrman6 Uncle Joe, I had a pair of similar pants in the late 70's but they were avocado greenish. Length was about like yours...makes me think of Special Instructions in a 1947 Rock Island Employee Timetable. "Following equipment must not be operated under own power through water in excess of the 4 1/2 inches, maximum height of water above rail for Diesel power units and switchers." Think you could wear those suckers for a year without washing and they'd not show a crease, but they might attract the dog next door. Ha! The watch fob, shirt with pen protector and at least 4 pens/pencils and a 6" metal rule was my thing. Many ways, better days than the political correct crap of these days!

He had a lime green "leisure suit" which he always wore when out on the property. He pointed out that the suit was totally indestructible. On one trip, he had to help "cut a pinion" on an MLW M-630 and became covered with grease. Any other clothing would have been a total write off, but the Fortel suit would clean right up. Another friend had a different solution to the issue of wearing a suit and tie out on the property. He had found a mail order business which sold business suits for less than fifty dollars. Some of these were quite fancy, probably the result of bankruptcy sales. We waited with anticipation to see what he would appear in next. He would simply trash them if they got dirty. He was a big man, and sometimes the pant legs were a bit too short. Date: 06/01/18 07:22 Re: Young punk Author: sgerken Those pants are indestructible. A couple of years ago a friend of mine found a pair under a storage shed in her mother’s back yard. If they had fit, all she would have to have done to wear them for the rest of the day was to shake the dirt off and put them on.

My dad and his twin bro must have the same tailor as your self right down to the stuff in your shirt pockets. Oddball question, what pipe tobacco did you smoke? They were Prince Albert guys, I still remember how good it smelled when they got together for cocktails and would fire up.

I wish you very well with your chemo, and hope it gets all the cancer. Youreallyh look good in that photo -- would never know you had any ailments, if you had not mentioned them. Carol -- Gosh, I hope Carl continues to do well with his chemo -- that can be very hard on people. Hope he makes a complete recovery! Warm fuzzies to all of you!!
