While looking for something else (that I didn't find, so it's in the storage unit - somewhere Sacrebleu!), I ran across this bit of correspondence. This occurred before the incident in the 1008 story. Folks didn't know yet what they would hear if they complained. They found out. Working conditions didn't get any better, but at least they stopped complaining.
