Railroaders' Nostalgia > SP Ron Park

Here’s a recent photo of Ron Park that Colton Engineer Harold Williams sent out. You Roseville guys will remember Ron as a Road Foremen up there. He had some great stories about check rides with engineers on the line out of Chico up to the Diamond Match Co. 3% grade with those old jeeps and their worthless dynamics. I had Ron as instructor in 1979 at the SP Simulator in Cerritos, California. Later Ron was our BLE Local 56 General Chairman. Seems as everyone is getting old.

Ron's article on SP Locotrol operations was in the Winter 2014 issue of the SP Trainline (published by the SPH&TS). 

He was transfered from Roseville to West Colton in 1973 and became the Assistant District RFE at WC.
