Railroad Quiz!
Author: ApproachCircuit

At a certain location where there was Hump Activity, The Hump YM would call the crew and tell them to proceed to the Hump.
The term used was "On the Yellow"
Small Hint: SD-7's were used and the throttle setting could be adjusted by a Rheostat for precise movement.

Definitely LA, but the term for shoving out of the track in the A Yard to the hump was "On the green."

"On the Yellow" was hump speed.

Not to steal your thread, but what is a CRO?

Portland & Western's 1501, the ex-SP SD7, had a working hump reostat at the time I retired 5 years ago.  I used it now and then.
