Railroaders' Nostalgia > Nothing to Report!Date: 04/02/24 20:33 Nothing to Report! Author: roustabout I found a similar report somewhere (probably here) and decided my then-employer needed this, given their fetish for paperwork. I never had the need to use it and I imagine it would have caused some mystified looks among mangement. Having been retired now (today is my anniversary!) for six years, I have never needed it, sadly. Late April fools!

Date: 04/03/24 08:33 Re: Nothing to Report! Author: perklocal We had a shortline in our area that had an "Unusual Occurrence Report". A few crewmen got called out on the carpet when they handed in that form and stated that the "Unusual Occurrence" for the day was that they did not go on the ground due to the condition of the track.

Author: ExSPCondr Way back when there was still an agency at Surf, Ca, the clerical staff had to send in at least twenty monthly reports to various departments iin San Francisco. At the end of one month, the agent instructed the clerks not to send any of the reports, and we'll see how many people are paying any attention to them.
Over the next month, they got 6 or 7 'traceers,' so they sent them in. In the next 2 or 3 months, they got two more tracers, and ended up sending in 9 of the 20 forms they used to send, and nobody noticed! G |
