Most of the guys on that board worked at San Luis Obispo. They were on the Western Division, Coast District Seniority Board.

D.C. Holderman and M.C. Cardoza were killed in the September 1969 wreck on Cuesta that destroyed U33C #8642. They were on a lite helper going back to SLO after helping a westbound to Santa Margarita. "Nudge" put the story on TO many years ago and it's worth the read. Cardoza shouldn't have been the fireman. He was the #2 fireman and usually worked 98/99. His niece and I were in the same HS graduating class.

I see Chuck Chambers, Al Stone, Tom Ware, Fred Estes and Ernie Block. Ernie's son was fireman/engineer Randy Block. Randy was at SLO when SP shut down the Coast to through freight in the fall of 1987. He then transfered to West Colton.
