Eastern Railroad Discussion > CN "GT" 8952 east on NS @ Elkhart, IN, this amDate: 12/30/20 08:08 CN "GT" 8952 east on NS @ Elkhart, IN, this am Author: CR4124 Wow, what a combo!
While reviewing the overnight action on Virtual Railfan's Elkhart, IN camera, found this. An eastbound, 4:12 am, EST, with new CN heritage unit 8952, the Grand Trunk unit. Even more amazing, the trailing unit. My eyes are pretty poor, but it appears to be one on the last CN Daash 8 40-8CM (or something like that) zebra units. Train is unit train of two-bay covered hoppers (fracking sand?). Having been born in Durand, MI, this picture will keep a smile on my face for a long time. ![]() Date: 12/30/20 10:12 Re: CN "GT" 8952 east on NS @ Elkhart, IN, this am Author: Walla183 CR4124 Wrote:
