Has CSX announced the scope of the heritage paint jobs?   

How many are planned?

Have they announced which railroads will be represented?  

Better yet ...... will there even be another unit ?  Its been quite a while since the L&N was released. Any insight as to why the long delay ? They seemed to release the first five rather quickly. Just wondering ......

Interesting. But as coined "Half Heritage" (fitting) they are sort of Half- A**ed Heritage". At least CSX is doing something better than a few stickers.

There were envisioned some fair number....above 12 under 25??? But realize...we only have a couple paint shops...and these guys have to do regular work too. 

Probably have to rework the B&O unit after it had a minor collision with an Amazon delivery truck last week.

It just never fails,  anytime someone brings this program up, some joker ALWAYS has to voice their displeasure over it over a full repaint.  People,  GET OVER IT and just enjoy what you get.   These people would rather see nothing at all over this.

Agreed.  Just because NS did their heritage units one way, does not mean CSX had to do theirs the same way.

Both the Union Pacific and CSX heritage programs took an artistic license with the legacy colors, script, etc.  Canadian Pacific did the same with its various jobs.

It's nice to see the different presentations out on the line.  The Chessie "kitten" unit went through Cordele GA yesterday. I'm surprised it lasted that long.

So, someone stating what paint they do or don't find appealing necessarily implies that they somehow expect the railroad to care? Not seeing that. I see these special paint schemes as a form of advertising, fresh packaging and marketing helping their product to be noticed while attempting to acknowledge they have some sense of history, nothing more. Some view these like race or religion, a sort of sacred cow that should be free of judgment or any negative comment. Nope, but at the least we are witnessing some new ideas from an industry that seems to be giving more thought to this side of their public relations outreach.

Yeah, folks are going a little overboard about exactitude....like even one of us had a vote.....but how they did it, there is a purpose...whether we know it or not...

I've noticed that CSX seems to put their heritage locomotives anywhere (trailing, DPU, etc) while NS put its new units up front for the first few months.
