A red, white and blue chase (W&LE)

On 09-18-2025 Wheeling and Lake Erie train #262 from Akron, Ohio to Brewster, Ohio had the 250th #1776 leading. Here are a few from the chase....

At ACY junction in Mogadore. This was where the original W&LW connected with the Akron, Canton and Youngstown.
Between Hartville and Middlebranch.
Canton, the distance signal for Wandle ("W and LE") crossing of the NS Ft Wayne Line is just ahead.

All great photos and I'm sure that even though there will not be an official American Freedom Train running on the main lines next year 2026, there will be many railroads who will celebrate America's Birthday with their own locomotives painted in a red, white and blue scheme.

Does anyone know if there are plans for any of the Class 1's to do a 250th celebratory paint? Also fabulous shots of the W&LE.
