Circus train, Powerbars, and the Ashland
Author: railfan4449

Yesterday was another odd railfan trip for me, to start off I went to Wellington,OH. to catch the RBBB circus train, there is heavy track maintance east of town and only one main could be used, first was a parade of EB's then came four WB's the second one had three new BNSF "powerbars" in tow. To me seeing these units in person with the new logo doesn’t look that bad.

And then in the distance I could spot the 54 gray cars coming, And of course what really made my day was that it was headed by two UP SD90MACS, who knew it took so much horsepower to haul all those elephants?

To me at least these look like modern day "Big Boys"

Ahh, traveling on these seem better than Amtrak, and there is more entertainment too! :)

Well, I tried to chase the train to Greenwich, and Crestline, but the train beat me. I got stuck behind too many drivers and was stopped by a train in Nova, I got as far as Shelby and saw a headlight on the tracks, lucky me it was WLE 200!

And coming right behind the Wheeling on the other track was an Ashland train!

Went to the diamond in Shelby to await the return of the Ashalnd train, then came a CSX with a dirty UP on the front, a funny note was written on the nose of the loco, "Pimp my ride" I guess the crews can't wait to install spiners and a spoiler onto the loco!
