Author: dschlegel My brother just called and said there had been a derailment in Alburtis this morning, but it is clearing up now. He said trains are using track 1 through the crossovers, and crews are still working on track 2.
Anyone know what train was involved or when it happened? Hopefully no one was hurt. Date: 10/17/05 09:29 Re: Reading Line Derailment???? Author: dschlegel My brother just updated me. He says that the train was the I8A, eastbound triple crown, and derailed around 7AM due to a possible broken rail. At least one trailer is fouling track 2, track 1 is being used through Alburtis.
Date: 10/17/05 15:12 Re: Reading Line Derailment???? Author: lvrrpassenger T.V. news video showed eastbound roadrailer dragged last three trailers thru Alburtis.Video showed last three trailers crumpled with some RR wheel trucks laying around. No injuries. Trains getting by on other track.
