Have any NS B40-8's received horsehead paint? Have any received air conditioners?

While I cannot give you a specific loco number, I recently remember seeing an NS B40-8 on one of my old videos that does indeed have an AC. Not sure about the horsehead scheme on these locos though. Chris Toth, where you at? :)

NS 4805 is the only one in horsehead paint so far.

Here is my listing of NS units that are painted in the horsehead scheme:

No, those units are all in the previous scheme with the ===NS style logo, not the current horsehead logo.

Yeah, 4805 is HHead, and still very clean while currently working its 2nd tour of local duty on the Delmarva Peninsula branches...

Wasn't 4805 repainted into the dash stripe scheme before? Did it have a fire or other calamnity?

Are the a/c units being done on a class by class basis - or is the emphasis on switching units then road units???

Chris, BTW, your website has some great info - thanks!

Saw 4805 in Clayton, DE a mile from my house Saturday as it sat outlawed with the Dover-Townsend local. Scott, it was in the siding by the Clayton station w/long hood pointed north (the cab was toward the train). Since a coal train had been sitting in the long siding, he managed to outlaw about ten miles from the departure point on a line that sees one mixed through train each way along with coal and stone unit trains.

Yes, it was painted in the previous NS scheme back in 1999. It was repainted again earlier this year following an overhaul at Juniata. (This unit does not have A/C)

The A/C units are standard with new power and are being added to rebuilt yard and local switching units. Some other older yard and local service units have received them as well.
