Eastern Railroad Discussion > Thursday trip to Yeoman YardDate: 12/03/05 06:27 Thursday trip to Yeoman Yard Author: gg1tim Took a ride Thursday morning with my wife and son on US 41 along the Tampa Bay to show him some of the area before he flew back to N.J. on Friday and somehow we ended up at 78th St. in Tampa. Spent about an hour and a half there before I was encouraged to start heading back to Palmetto. Here is GP40-2 # 6014 making up the cars for Q214 which left about an hour later.

We then left the area and headed back to Palmetto as the wife and son were getting hungry and I was reminded that my hour of watching trains was over......

The great lock chock systems allows any auto to be loaded on the car. The universal use of the car was developed to reduce the empty mile movements. One still finds hundreds of empties moving from the west coast--very few new cars built there--to the mid and east US Date: 12/03/05 07:42 Re: Thursday trip to Yeoman Yard Author: s0450982 Tim, the bull sheet has the Q214 terminating at Louisville.
