Ok, guys and gals I don't know what this mainline is called now under NS but it's the old New York Central Water Level Route btw Buffalo and Chicago (but I know east of Cleveland it went to CSX). The Capital and Lake Shore Limited also use this line. The bridge is made of steel and I don't know what it'll take (torches and crane?) and the amount of time to clear the right-of-way. I would think the railroad will be represented as they wouldn't want any unneeded delay or things on their right-of-way. Or perhaps NS or their contractor is tearing it down? Date: 05/01/08 11:09 Re: And Disruption of Train Service at Corunna next wee Author: toledopatch I would imagine a state contractor will be doing the removal but with NS personnel on the scene to grant work window(s). I have to imagine that once it's all rigged up and they're ready to take the thing down, it shouldn't take more than a few hours for a crane crew to get it out of there.
